- Doorbell Interface with Local Two-Way Voice -

To provide a spoken message

when an entry doorbell is

pushed, and allow the end user

to communicate with the guest

through any on-premise touch

tone phone.

When the doorbell is pressed, the system will annunciate Guest at Front Door through

the internal speaker(s). The end user can then pick up any on-premise touch tone phone,

access the control panel, and be able to listen and speak to the guest at the entry door.

1) Activating the doorbell switch will activate Zone 1 and the zone descriptor will be annunci-

ated through the internal speakers.

2) The end user may pick up any on-premise touch tone phone and press *,# to gain local

phone access folllowed by 9,9,9,9 to activate 2-way voice. While in 2-way voice, pressing *

will allow the end user to listen to the guest, and pressing # will allow the end user to speak

to the guest.

3) Following 2-way voice communication, the end user may press 0 or simply hang up the

phone.

Note: The microphone and speaker are wired next to entry door.

To prevent normal system speech from being broadcast through

the entry door speaker, the on-board relay is used to activate the

speaker only during 2-way voice operation.
